7 Grain Whole Wheat Bread

Ingredients: 

1/3 cup dry milk

3 tsp dry yeast

3 cups warm water – 110–115 degrees

½ cup sugar

4 tbsp vegetable oil

3 tsp salt

2 tbsp flax meal

2 cups medium whole wheat flour

4 cups white high gluten flour

Handful of 7 grain cereal

Directions: 

Combine dry milk, yeast, 4 cups flour, sugar, oil, salt and water in a large plastic or glass bowl. Mix with hand mixer. Let stand until doubled. Add remainder of flour a little at a time until the dough is too stiff for the hand mixer.

 

Add the rest of the flour by hand. Dough should be somewhat sticky. Keep flouring hands and counter as you knead it for 10 minutes.

 

Cover the bowl with a cloth. Set microwave on Power 10 and run for 10 minutes. Let rise until double. Punch down. Set power for Power 10 again and microwave another 10 minutes. Let rise until double.

 

Lightly flour counter. Divide dough into halves. Put in greased loaf pans. Let rise until double. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Cool on racks. THE BEST EVER!
